Energy TV is proud to announce that the 2009 Energy TV Awards will be hosted in Edmonton
on September 23, 2009, at the Westin Edmonton. It will be hosted in conjunction with the Oil
Sands Trade Show and Conference hosted by dmg world media in Edmonton September 22-23,
2009.
Energy TV is responding to the current economic situation that the oil and gas industry is in by
rescheduling the 2009 Energy TV Awards that were originally planned to be hosted in June
during GO-EXPO. The new date and location will also include a new focus for the third annual
Energy TV Awards. These changes will provide the industry with a powerful event that will focus
on the fastest growing sector of Canada's petroleum industry--the oil sands.
A majority of the award categories will focus on the outstanding achievements in the oil sands
industry. The entire event will be filmed and produced as a one hour television special that will
be broadcast nationally as well as hosted online so it can be accessed by an international
audience. The diverse content of the show will enhance public awareness about the
stewardship that industry focuses on while developing this vast resource.
